Just a little hectic
Yes well life with 2 kiddlies certainly takes on a new level of “hectic” doesn’t it! On the upside, that, and the copious amounts of flooding rain we have been having, have forced me into craft-dom with Mr 2 and a half. He is such an active kid, he would choose to play soccer or footy (as in, AFL balls
) over sitting still any day. But he does get excited at “craft time” as long as he can do it himself of course! In any case, Karina’s blog, Mumma Made It has saved us over and over again as I have searched for inspiration. Here is a snapshot of some of our fun lately:
The boats (albeit sideways, oops) were our little effort today out of skewers, blue-tacked into silver muffin tins, with little paper flags and sticker decorations. Kaden had an awesome time with these, floating them in the bath. Then he got a straw and blew through it to create wind for them. He also managed to pick some flowers and put them in the boats too…so nice to watch him go.
Tonight I came out from putting Jai to bed and Dave had been working away with Kaden creating an amazing scene in the lounge room:

Ah the photo upload isn’t coping too well but it was a train track, complete with buildings surrounding, cars/vans etc on the track and Percy the train! It looked amazing. I have left it set up so that the morning might be friendlier to ME who is not a morning person!
Lastly…to catch you up on the last few months…this is one of the perks of living here:
OOps. Pity about Dave’s head! Will have to remedy that later

Beautiful artwork by your little one! Homemade materials are the best! Take care on your side of the world.
